CHICO, Calif. – The Chico State Athletics community rallied together in record-breaking fashion during the 2025 Back the 'Cats campaign, raising a record-setting $102,138.01 at the end of the day on Friday. The previous benchmark of $88,628 was set in fiscal year 2022.
"This year's Back the 'Cats campaign is a true celebration of the generosity and pride within our Wildcat Family, and I want to thank everyone who contributed," Executive Director of Athletics Eric Coleman said. "Your support directly enhances the student-athlete experience through scholarships, training, travel, and the resources our teams need to succeed both in the classroom and in competition. This achievement reflects the strength of our community and the commitment that makes Chico State Athletics so special."
There is still time to donate! The Back the 'Cats giving pages will remain open through September 26 for late gifts.
Among the highlights, the women's basketball, men's basketball and Eric's Birthday Match were unlocked while the baseball, women's golf and volleyball teams each met their $10,000 goals.

The competitive Red and Grey Divisions, based on team size, added extra excitement to the campaign, with men's basketball (118 donors) holding the lead in the Red Division ahead of volleyball (115) and women's golf (64), while baseball (107 donors) tops the Grey Division followed by men's soccer (43) and women's soccer (38).
The success of Back the 'Cats reflects the collective commitment of Wildcat alumni, family, and friends to ensuring current and future student-athletes have the resources they need to thrive both academically and athletically.
