Escobar matched her finish in the hammer with a second-place finish in the discus, throwing for an incredible 42.72m mark. She recorded three new personal bests in all three events she took part in; shot put, discus and hammer throw.

After joining the Wildcats for this season, Breeanna Brown had a strong early showing in the shot put with a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 11.23m. She claimed a trio of personal bests in shot put, discus and hammer throw in Turlock.

Natalie Muse continues to improve her individual events in preparation for her next heptathlon competition, finishing second in the triple jump with a 10.75m leap.

Coming off of a strong freshman season, Janey Rubio kicked off her sophomore year with a first-place finish in the pole vault after clearing the 3.35m height.

Freshman Allie Goetz claimed her first top three finish of her collegiate high jump career after clearing a 1.55m jump.

In the 4x400m relay, Chico State's 'A' and 'B' teams took home a staggering one-two finish, with the team consisting of Tianna Thompson, Danielle Bacon, Kaitlyn Gonzales and Madi Monroe finishing in the lead with a time of 4:02.49. Madison Kalberer, Mia Beltran, Sidney Garcia and Natalie Muse were on their heels, coming in only four seconds behind at 4:06.98.

Bacon had a strong showing in the 400m race, crossing in first place with a time of 58.11.
