CHICO, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills rallied with a second-half equalizer to earn a 1–1 draw with Chico State on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at University Soccer Stadium. The result moves the Wildcats to 2-3-2 overall (0-0-1 CCAA), while the Toros stand at 3-2-3 (0-0-1 CCAA).

How it happened
Chico State jumped ahead early when defender Matthew Rajecki floated a close-range shot in the ninth minute to the Toro's back post to give the Wildcats a 1–0 lead.
After controlling much of the first half, Chico State saw Dominguez Hills respond after the break. David Politron leveled the match in the 53rd minute, finishing off a feed from Aldair Marta to tie things at one apiece.
Both teams had chances late, with Toro goalkeeper Keegan O'Brien making a key save in the 81st minute and Chico keeper Weston Joyner turning away five second-half shots to preserve the draw.
