'Cats Open Up Road Trip in Tough Bout With No.1 Warriors

TURLOCK, Calif. – Two second-half goals lifted No. 15 Stanislaus State past Chico State, 2–0, on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Warrior Stadium. With the road loss, the Wildcats fell to 3-5-4 overall (1-2-3 CCAA), while the Warriors improved to 12-0-1 (6-0-1 CCAA).

How it happened

After a defensive first half that saw just one Chico State shot, Stanislaus State broke through in the 59th minute when Gerardo Flores finished a pass from Samuel Villanueva.

The Wildcats pushed for a late response with five second-half shots but couldn't break through against a Stanislaus back line that has yet to allow more than one goal in any match this season.
