CHICO, Calif. – Chico State exploded for three first-half goals and rolled to a 3–1 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at University Soccer Stadium. With the victory, the Wildcats improved to 5-5-2 overall (3-2-0 CCAA), while the Coyotes fell to 4-5-3 (2-2-1 CCAA).

How it happened
The Wildcats struck early and often in the first half. Makayla Cruz-Martinez opened the scoring in the 11th minute, finishing a feed from Justyce Amey.
Taylor McMahon doubled the advantage in the 39th minute on an assist from Hannah Pieri, before turning provider herself just four minutes later, setting up Jiana Martin to make it 3–0 at halftime.
San Bernardino pulled one back in the 54th minute through Sakiah Williams, but the Wildcats' defense and goalkeeper Kennedy Briseno (5 saves) held strong the rest of the way.
