Wildcats Carve Out Sweep at Lumberjack Arena

Arcata, Calif. – The Chico State volleyball team kept its momentum rolling Thursday night at Lumberjack Arena, earning its second consecutive sweep by taking down Cal Poly Humboldt 3–0 (25–22, 25–17, 25–12). The Wildcats improve to 6–10 overall and 3–7 in the CCAA.

Chico hit .253 as a team while holding the Lumberjacks to just .111, including a -.034 clip in the third set.

– Cashe Olswang – 8 kills (.350), 2 service aces, 1 block, 12.0 points
– Maria Wahl – 7 kills, 13 digs, 1 block assist, 7.5 points
– Gwyneth Wentzel – 7 kills (.400), 2 block assists, 8.5 points
– Claire Nordeen – 3 kills (.429), 22 assists, 8 digs, 1 ace, 5.0 points

Match Summary
Set 1 – Chico State pulled ahead late behind kills from Olswang and Heller to take the opener 25–22.
Set 2 – The Wildcats rallied from an early 5–0 deficit and used a 10–2 run to take control, finishing with a 25–17 win.
Set 3 – Chico dominated start to finish, hitting .423 and finishing on an ace from Jessie Camarillo to close it 25–12.
