ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Making her season debut, Iresh Molina carried Chico State to an impressive finish at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday, and for that the All-American was selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Runner of the Week.

It is the third CCAA Runner of the Week award for Molina.

In a field that featured 36 teams from all across NCAA Division II and 336 participants, Molina went on to finish fourth in 21:12.2 on the 6K course and score four points. Chico State went on to win the heavily-competitive meet with 100 points, beating host Lewis by 40 points and third-place Biola by 80. 

All seven runners for No. 15 Chico State placed inside the top 50, as the Wildcats earned wins over No. 9 Lewis, No. 10 Walsh, No. 11 Fort Lewis and No. 14 Pittsburg State.

A product of Chico High School, Molina will get a chance to win hardware at home as Chico State will host the CCAA Championships, presented by Pollo Campero. The meet will be held October 24 at Hooker Oak Park. Molina will look to succeed her twin sister, Della, as the CCAA individual winner while the Wildcats will seek a three-peat and their 15th in the last 17 seasons.
