'Cats Close Out Road Trip, Falling to Golden Eagles in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – Cal State LA scored twice in the first half and added another late to top Chico State, 3–0, on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at University Stadium. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 3-4-3 overall (1-1-2 CCAA), while the Golden Eagles improve to 6-1-4 (3-1-0 CCAA). The Wildcats currently sit in fifth place in the CCAA standings after four games, with six still remaining in the 2025 campaign.

How it happened

The Golden Eagles took control late in the first half with two goals by Erick Alamo, including a spectacular side-winding finish inside the near post.

Chico State pressed for a response in the second half but couldn't find the target. 

Weston Joyner made four saves in the net for Chico State.
