CHICO – It may be the second official week of spring, but Mother Nature still wants to be a nuisance as the Chico State and Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball teams are being challenged to get their four-game CCAA series in this weekend with rain expecting to arrive as early as Wednesday.
Looking at the forecast and hoping to avoid the rain, the Wildcats adjusted the schedule with the Toros. Here is what the schedule looks like as of Tuesday:
Thursday, March 28 – 9/7-inning doubleheader – Game 1: 2 p.m. / Game 2: 5 p.m.
Friday, March 29 – Single 9-inning game – Noon
Saturday, March 30 – Single 9-inning game – 11 a.m.
Should Friday's game not be played, the Wildcats and Toros will look to play that on Saturday as part of a doubleheader. If so, the schedule will be game 1 beginning at 11 a.m. with game 2 starting after.
