CHICO, Calif. - The temperatures are falling in Chico, and the Wildcats couldn't quite cut the deficit against the Seawolves during Thursday's CCAA matchup.

Ben Ralph broke the scoring drought against the Seawolves, deflecting a Sylas Sells strike into the net to cut the deficit to a single goal.
Miles Rice was forcing his way through the crashing blue shirts and forced a handful of saves from the Seawolves' keeper, but couldn't slot it past.
Sylas Sells almost broke through the Seawolves' defense in the 75th minute with a diving strike in the box, but the contact was not as clean as he had hoped.
Emanuel Padilla picked up three saves against SSU.Â
After No.2 Cal State LA tied 1-1 with Cal Poly Pomona, the two Southern California programs now share a slice of the conference lead with 3-0-2 records. Cal State East Bay and CSU Domingeuz Hills fill the two spots above the Wildcats in 3rd and 4th.
The Wildcats will travel to Cal Poly Humboldt on Sunday, October 20th, for another CCAA matchup. Kickoff in Eureka is at 11:30 am, with crucial points on the line.Â
