The Chico State women's soccer team proved throughout the fall that it was one of the most competitive teams in the West, winning nine and losing just five of 19 matches in the just completed 2022 season. Brynn Howard, Nicole Fairbanks, Emma Hofmann, and Susanna Garcia all played a huge part in the team's success, and as a result the United Soccer Coaches (USC) organization has honored the quartet of 'Cats with All-West Region recognition.

Howard and Fairbanks were named Second Team All-West Region, with Hofmann and Garcia earning Third Team All-West Region honors.

A sophomore midfielder, Howard started all 19 matches for the Wildcats in 2022 and scored three goals to help lead Chico State to a 9-5-5 record and the team's sixth postseason appearance in the last eight seasons. Howard adds the Second Team All-West Region honor to her Second Team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) selection for the 2022 campaign.

Fairbanks, who received First Team All-CCAA honors in November, garnered Second Team All-West Region accolades for her solid work as a defender for the 'Cats. The junior started all 19 Chico State matches in 2022 and contributed one assist to the Wildcat attack.

Hofmann keeps adding to her postseason hardware with the Third Team All-West Region selection. The sophomore goalkeeper, who recorded 10 shutouts in 2022 and posted a miniscule 0.53 goals against average, has earned two Second Team All-CCAA awards and was named the conference's Freshman of the Year in 2021.

Garcia caps off a memorable Chico State career with her Third Team All-West Region award. The senior forward now owns three All-West Region honors and three All-CCAA accolades, as well as being named the conference's Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 and CCAA Freshman of the Year in 2018. Garcia scored three goals and doled out two assists in 2022, wrapping up her Wildcat career with 18 goals, 10 assists, and 46 points.
