The Chico State volleyball team strives for success every time it takes the court. The same holds true whenever the players enter the classroom—when it comes to their studies, the Wildcats hold themselves to a very high standard. Four 'Cats who excelled in both areas were honored by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), which named Zoe DiNardo, Lauryn Osendorf, Bree Rodriguez, and Grace Shepherd to the organization's 2022 Academic All-District Team.

The 2022 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams, selected by members of the College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

DiNardo adds the CSC Academic All-District honor to a resume that also includes three California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic awards and two Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards.

Osendorf now has three academic awards to her credit since joining the Wildcats. The sophomore earned CCAA All-Academic honors and the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award during the 2021–22 academic year.

Rodriguez adds the Academic All-District award to her 2021–22 CCAA All-Academic honors.

Shepherd, who just completed her Wildcat career, had received four CCAA All-Academic awards and two D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards prior to being named to the 2022 CSC Academic All-District Team.

DiNardo, Osendorf, Rodriguez, and Shepherd now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All- America honorees will be announced on December 21.
