We've found inspiration in our student-athletes' resolve, leadership, and record-breaking academic successes during this shutdown of collegiate competition. Driven to succeed despite the disappointment, our Wildcats proved themselves champions where they could—through academic excellence, inspirational statements, and a steadfast commitment to Chico State.
 
Predictably, these student-athletes are eager to get back to dominating in their sport in 2021–22. With your help, we will provide them with the resources they need to achieve their bold athletic goals and academic objectives.
 
This pandemic has drastically affected many individuals and organizations, including our athletic department. A decrease in state budgets and lack of revenue from hosting sporting events has greatly impacted us financially. As a result, we are unsure if our greatest needs moving forward will be scholarships or operational resources. We do know the needs are significant. We want to continue delivering an unrivaled student-athlete experience, which includes providing every Wildcat with an opportunity to come back ready to compete for championships.
 
Thanks to the foundation set by our alumni and supporters, our culture remains extraordinary. We need our Wildcat Family—families, friends, alumni and supporters—to give what they can and help spread the word. The success of our 13 athletic programs is a combined effort. We are exceedingly grateful for all you do to contribute to the continued success.
