ROHNERT PARK, Calif.—The Chico State women's soccer team's road struggles continued Sunday, resulting in a 3–0 loss at 17
th-ranked Sonoma State.
The season has featured a tale of two Chico State teams. Unbeaten in four home matches, the Wildcats have dropped their first four conference road tilts to slip to 5-5-0 overall and 2-4-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
Sonoma State (10-1-0, 4-1-0 CCAA) tallied twice in the first half and added an insurance goal in the 61
st minute to run its winning streak to five games.
The Wildcats mustered just six shots on the afternoon. Erin Woods, Sarah Emigh, and Jamie Ikeda had one apiece on frame, but all three tries were saved.
Chico State will have time to rest and regroup over the next couple of weeks, with only a non-conference match against UC Santa Cruz Friday night on the schedule before resuming CCAA play at home on Oct. 13 against Cal Poly Pomona.
