The Chico State baseball team’s 22-game home stand is coming to an end, as is the fate of all good things. The long stretch could be looked at as a very good thing if the Wildcats play well in their four-game series with Cal State East Bay this weekend.

Chico State is 13-5 so far on the home stand and 17-5 at home this season. The 5th-ranked Wildcats are 19-7 overall and 9-7 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. They’re in a three-way tie for third place with Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Monterey Bay, three games behind CCAA leader Sonoma State and percentage points behind second-place UC San Diego.

Cal State East Bay is 9-13 overall and 3-9 in the CCAA.

The series kicks off with a single game Friday night at 6, continues with a doubleheader Saturday at noon, and concludes with a single game Sunday morning at 11 a.m. All four will be broadcast locally on Fox Sports 101.7 FM and 1340 AM.
