Amidst abysmal running conditions at the Kim Duyst Invitational in Turlock, Chico State women's track & field sprinter Bailey Moss took a page from the U.S. Postal Service motto, taking on heavy winds and pouring rain to post a second place finish in the 400-meter hurdles and contribute to a second place showing in the 4x400-meter relays. Moss's swift completion of her appointed rounds makes the Orland product the latest Wildcat of the Week.
Running in a downpour Saturday at Stanislaus State's Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium, Moss was still able to get the 2016 track & field season off to a successful start, winning her heat in the 400-meter hurdles and finishing second overall with a time of 1:05.89.
Moss wrapped up the day with another solid performance, combining with Wildcat teammates Hailey Jackson, Kayla Lawson and Marina Berrios to finish second in the 4x400-meter relays, stopping the clock at 4:17.09.
Moss and the rest of the Chico State women's track & field team are back in action Saturday, hosting the day-long Wildcat Invitational at University Stadium.
