Michelle Gonzales is a first-semester intern with the Strength and Conditioning program at Chico State.
Originally from Grass Valley, California, Gonzales brings a strong athletic background to her role, having played collegiate softball for two years at West Valley College (CCCAA) and one year at SUNY Plattsburgh (NCAA Division III).
She earned an associate in arts for Transfer (A.A.-T.) in Psychology from West Valley College and is currently a senior at Chico State, on track to graduate in Fall 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science, with an option in Food and Nutrition Communication and a focus in Sports Nutrition.
Gonzales is passionate about the intersection of athletic performance and nutrition and aspires to work in the field of sports nutrition and performance. She is also exploring career opportunities as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or as a softball coach.
