Jesse Miller

Jesse Miller joined the Chico State Athletic Department as a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant in October 2024, following a three-month internship with the program. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Chico State with a B.A. in Kinesiology (Movement Studies) and a minor in Sports Performance, and she holds the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential. In addition to her coaching role, Jesse serves as an Instructional Student Assistant in the Kinesiology Department, combining academic excellence with hands-on training experience.

A decorated former athlete, Jesse earned All-Conference and All-State honors at Sierra College and was named the 2022 California State Tournament MVP after leading her team to the 3C2A Women’s Basketball State Championship. She scored a record-setting 33 points in the final game—the highest individual scoring performance in championship history.

Outside of her work with Chico State, Jesse remains active in the local sports community as a youth basketball referee, private basketball skills trainer, and director of a summer youth basketball camp. Her coaching philosophy prioritizes evidence-based, individualized programming to maximize athlete potential, bridging science with performance. Jesse is married and a proud stepmom to three boys, and she brings that same passion and dedication to the Wildcat community.
