Second year in the Wildcats’ program…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of Vanden High School in Fairfield…Helped lead the Vikings to a pair of league titles and the 2018 Sac-Joaquin Section Division III championship…Two-time All-Monticello Empire League selection…Team MVP as a freshman…Personal: Born January 12, 2002, in Vacaville…Daughter of Rick and Tanya…Has one younger sister, Lauren…The person she most admires in the sports world is longtime volleyball player and coach Ruth Lawanson (“She has played in the Olympics and decided to coach club teams to spread her knowledge and help to make players better”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I love the campus and the town, and it’s not too far away from home so I can always go and visit my family”…Her greatest sports moment so far is winning the section championship during her junior year of high school…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is parasailing …The most impressive thing she has ever accomplished is “keeping good grades during school even though I was always busy and had a lot of things going on”…Has learned by playing volleyball “to keep trying no matter how many times I fail”.…Enjoys spending time with friends and family…Likes to go off-roading in the family’s UTV…At the top of her bucket list: traveling all around the world…Best advice ever received was from her parents: “Believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything”…Majoring in criminal justice…Plans on continuing on to law school to become a lawyer.
