As a Freshman (2025)
  • Appeared in 31 games, starting 12 in her first season
  • Batted .053 with one hit and a single run
Pre-Chico Days
  • A 2024 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School (Elk Grove, Calif.)
  • Helped lead Pleasant Grove to back-to-back league championships in 2023 and 2024
  • Earned First Team and Second Team All-League honors during her high school career
  • Named Rookie of the Year and a four-time Scholar Athlete
  • Received the Distinguished Athlete (Marine’s Award)
  • Selected to multiple elite watch lists, including Top 40 Freshman Watch List, Senior All-American Watch List, Extra Inning Softball Elite Class of 2024 Top 100, and Sacramento Bee All-Metro Softball Team
  • Recognized as one of the top shortstops in the region
Club
  • Played five years with Grapettes–Medina (West Sacramento, Calif.), helping the team earn multiple tournament titles and place top-25 at PGF events
  • Served as team captain, earned team MVP, and appeared on All-American and Extra Inning watch lists
  • Competed three years with Hype–Watson (Roseville, Calif.), earning additional tournament championships, team MVP honors, and selection to the Top 100 recruits list
  • Nominated and competed in the OnDeck Jamboree
  • Started and played in every game of her club career
Personal
  • Daughter of Jaime and Tim Escobar
  • Has two sisters, Madison and Maggie, and one brother, Mason
  • Her favorite course at Chico State is Physical Education for Elementary School Teachers with Professor Case, a class that allowed her to work hands-on with kids and shaped her future goals as an educator.
  • Her favorite athlete is Sis (Nicole) Bates, whose defensive skill, energy, and positivity inspire her style of play.
  • She chose Chico State because of the beautiful surrounding nature, the welcoming college-town atmosphere, and the immediate sense of belonging she felt after attending her first softball camp.
  • Her greatest sports moment so far was committing to Chico State, fulfilling her dream of playing college softball on scholarship.
  • Outside of softball, her best talent is working with kids, which aligns with her goal of becoming an elementary school teacher.
  • The best advice she has ever received is “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard,” a quote introduced to her by her dad that continues to motivate her daily.
