Appeared in one event at the March 6 Kim Duyst Invitational before the cancellation of the 2020 track & field season…Finished third in the triple jump (10.92m)…Earned 2019–20 CCAA All-Academic honors…Received the 2019–20 Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award…Recipient of Chico State’s Mac Martin Excellence in Leadership Award.

A 2018 graduate of Liberty High School in Brentwood…First Team All-Bay Valley Athletic League in both track & field and tennis…Named All-League MVP in track & field…Won the BVAL triple jump championship three straight years (2016–18)…2018 BVAL long jump champion…Competed in the high jump, 100m and 200m dash, and 4x100m relay over the course of her four varsity seasons…Two-time team MVP in tennis…Also lettered in basketball.

Born September 8, 2000, in Antioch…Daughter of Rudy Ramirez and Tara Chaves…Has four siblings: Devon, Rudy, Alex, and Alyssa…Admires any athlete who has persevered through a torn ACL (“That injury gives an athlete the chance to give up, but those who go through that process and do it for the love of the game inspire me”)…Her favorite course at Chico State is Theories, Practices and Administration of Justice, and her favorite instructor is journalism teacher Mandy Feder-Sawyer…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the beautiful campus, and the location wasn't too far from home”…Her greatest sports moment was playing tennis in high school (“I tried out thinking it would be easy. I sucked but got way better. I made school history with one of my teammates and got to be in a big picture in our town’s newspaper”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is get her retina reattached…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is graduating from college in three years…Has learned to value patience and minimal growth by competing in track & field…Enjoys playing tennis with friends and biking in her hometown with her family when she has some free time…Says she can paint memes…Admits “I hated Chico when I first moved here, and now i love it!”…Has had five different jobs on campus…At the top of her bucket list: “I want to visit Guadalajara which is where my grandmother is from”…Best advice ever received she attributes to the rapper Drake: “Don’t ever take advice, that was great advice”…Majoring in criminal justice…Plans to attend law school.
