2021–22
Competed in three meets during the 2021 cross country campaign…Post season-best 6k time of 24:49.6 September 25, 2021 at the Cougar Challenge…Highest finish was a 76th place showing at the October 9, 2021 at the Western Washington Bill Roe Classic.
 
2020–21
Did not compete in cross country or track & field due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019–20
Opened the cross country season with a 71st place finish September 13, 2019 at the Stump Invitational, stopping the clock at 25:47.9…Her final 6k race resulted in an 82nd place finish (24:40.8) October 12, 2019 at the Western Washington Classic…Posted a 66th place finish November 17, 2019 at the PAUSATF Cross Country Championships, completing the 6.5k layout in 27:26…On the track, posted PR’s in both the 800m (2:33.78) and 1,500m (5:14.93) March 6–7 at the Kim Duyst Invitational…Earned three CCAA All-Academic awards.
 
2018–19
Placed 141st in her collegiate debut at the Capital Cross Challenge…Finished 45th in the Open race at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a 23:05 6k PR…Finished 53rd at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational…Concluded the fall season with a 19th place effort at the Doc Adams Invitational...On the track, managed just one race before an injury ended the season.
 
Pre-Chico Days
A standout runner at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita…Raced to an 18:00 3-mile time on the Woodbridge Invitational course…Notched a top-10 finish at the Foothill Cross Country Championships…On the track, recorded PR’s of 5:18 and 11:24 at the 1,600 and 3,200m distances…Began her prep career at William S. Hart High School in Newhall.
 
Personal
Born October 30, 2000, in Valencia…Daughter of Vince and Sheila…Has two younger siblings, Julia and Lucia…Her grandfather is her hero (“Since I was very young he has inspired me to be unselfish and to have patience”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is professional tennis player Naomi Osaka (“for being strong and confident in her decisions and for standing up when things aren’t right”)…Favorite course at Chico State is The Orion, taught by Pate McMichael…Chose to attend Chico State “for the beautiful campus and the running program”…Her greatest sports moment was “cheering on my teammates at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania”…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is road trip to Pittsburgh from Chico to watch the Wildcats run at nationals…Has learned by running that “making the harder decision is often worth it. It will always be easier to give less than 100 percent, but the feeling of giving something your all and seeing the results of that is an unmatched feeling”…Enjoys spending time with her dog, Nova…At the top of her bucket list: “Travel in general. I want to see places like Greece, Costa Rica, and Japan”…Best advice ever received came from her high school coach, Rene Paragas: “Success is not linear. There will be good and bad times. You got to do your best to keep your head up during the bad times knowing that you will come out the other side”…Majoring in journalism.
