Personal

She is my best friend and has always done so much for me and our family”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is U.S. pole vaulter and Olympic gold medalist Katie Nageotte “because of her dedication, sportsmanship, and the great energy she brings to each meet”…Favorite course at Chico State is Child Development, taught by Jennifer Swisher…Chose to attend Chico State “because of how friendly and welcoming the team and everyone I met on campus was. I could tell right away that the team was like a family, and this was something really important to me when looking at schools”…Her greatest sports moment was posting a personal best mark in pole vault at the 2019 Central Coast Section Finals (“My whole team was there watching and cheering me on so it made it special”)…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is graduating from high school during a pandemic and start college during an evacuation from wildfires…Has learned by competing in track & field “to embrace even the bad days, because these are the days that you learn so much about yourself and how to improve”…Enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, going to the beach, or doing anything outdoors when she has some free time…Says “over the winter break, I had the best time at pole vault summit with the team. We helped set up all week for the meet, turning an empty livestock arena into a giant pole vault meet with 12 runways and puts!”…At the top of her bucket list: “Visit Australia”…Best advice ever received came from her high school pole vault coach: “Live life fully and in the moment, don’t dwell too much on the past or wish your time away for the future”…Majoring in liberal studies.
