Pre-Chico Days
A 2020 graduate of Bret Harte Union High School in Angels Camp…Competed in cross country and track & field…Helped the Bullfrogs capture three Mother Lode League titles and a pair of Sac-Joaquin Section Division V crowns…2019 MLL champion in 100m, 200m dash…Took top MLL honors in the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m relay in 2018…Named Bret Harte’s cross country MVP three straight years.
 
Personal
Born November 10, 2002, in Walnut Creek…Daughter of Stacie and Keith…Her mom is her hero (“I admire her for her hard work and loving nature, and she has instilled both those qualities plus more into me. Even when things get hard she doesn’t give up and always finds a way to push through. She is always willing to do things for others even if that means going out of her way to do it. She has taught me how to overall be a strong and confident woman”)...The person they most admire in the sports world is Olympic and world champion sprinter Allyson Felix (“She is a great role model to not only her own child but to everyone. Her drive, determination, and humbleness is admirable, and she’s someone I look up to”)…Favorite course at Chico State: Introduction to Dance, taught by Jolene Barry…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “The moment I stepped onto the track during my visit everything felt right and I didn't get that feeling with any other campuses I visited. Meeting the team/coaches and seeing how close of a family they really were made me feel so welcome, and I knew that’s something I wanted to be a part of”…Her greatest sports moment occurred during the 4x100-meter relay at her high school league finals in 2018 (“This was the day our relay team broke 49 seconds and ran a 48.63, breaking the school record. The stands were packed and I remember running over to the scoreboard with my teammates and the whole meet pausing to have them write ‘Bret Harte Girls 4-by-100 relay New School Record’ across the board”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is play with baby kangaroos in Australia…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is qualify to be a part of an international track team for the summer in Australia when she was 15…Has learned by competing in track & field that “discipline and hard work will get you places on and off the field”…Enjoys hiking with friends, traveling to cool places, and trying new food when she has some free time…Says that “walking on my hands” is her biggest non-sports talent…Can play the piano…Loves flowers and plants in general, and owns a first tier certification in the floral industry…At the top of her bucket list: “Going to a foreign country and doing volunteer work”…Best advice ever received came from one of her high school physical education teachers: “Give it your very best each time, and no matter what the outcome you should always be content because it was your very best”…Majoring in exercise physiology…Plans to pursue a career as an athletic trainer or physical therapist for a collegiate sports team.
