Did not compete in cross country or track & field due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019–20
Redshirted for the Wildcats in the 2019 cross country season…Posted a 120th place finish November 17, 2019 at the PAUSATF Cross Country Championships, completing the 6.5k layout in 31:40…Ran once during the 2020 track & field season, finishing fourth in the 800m (with a time of 2:20.09) March 7 at the Kim Duyst Invitational…Earned 2019–20 CCAA All-Academic honors.
 
Pre-Chico Days
A mid-distance specialist at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, recorded a 2:15 PR for the 800m while placing fourth overall at the JC State Championships…Also qualified for the state meet as part of Cuesta’s 4x400 relay team…Two-year track & field team captain…Earned 2018 Western State Conference Honorable Mention in the 800m…Named CCCAA All-State in 800m…CCCAA Regional qualifier in 800m in 2017…Team cross country MVP in 2018…Team XC captain in 2017…Four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track at Atascadero High School…CIF qualifier in the 400m as a senior…Also lettered in soccer.
 
Personal
Born August 5, 1997, in Atascadero…Daughter of Garth and Deanne…Has three older siblings: Marissa, Brett, and Jacob…Her hero is her cat, Bailey (“He does nothing but hunt, eat his wet food, and take the longest and comfiest-looking naps”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is Olympic distance runner Alexi Pappas “because of her courage, passion, and bravery for running. I just read  her book Bravery and was really inspired by her stories about struggles with mental health and trying to be a professional runner at the same time”…Favorite course at Chico State is Women’s Studies, taught by Lauren Wilson…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the close team environment and beautiful places to explore and run”…Her greatest sports moment was running at the CCCAA state meet at Bakersfield College (“I got my dream time of 2:15 in the 800. It was such a memorable moment to share with family and friends”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is play Animal Crossing for a total of 200 hours during the lockdown…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is running the 800 meters in the Junior Olympics while in middle school (“I don’t remember doing super well, but it’s a fact not a lot of people know about me and it was really, really neat”…Has learned by competing in distance running “how to be a leader, be a good team player in and outside of the sport, and finding out that my body can withstand most things if I just set my mind to it”…Enjoys going on hikes, baking, cooking, traveling with friends, reading, and painting when she has some free time…Claims “I can kind of surf and skateboard”…At the top of her bucket list: “My dad is from Alaska and it’s always been my dream to visit where he’s from and travel around the state”…Best advice ever received came from Wildcats teammate Katie Hawley: “PB and J’s are better on English Muffins”…Majoring in sociology…Plans to pursue a career as a sports psychologist.
