2021–22
Made her Chico State cross country debut by finishing 74th (6k time of 24:45.9) September 10, 2021 at the San Francisco State Invitational…Recorded a PR time of 24:08.8 on the way to an 85th place finish September 25, 2021 at the Cougar Challenge…Finished the season at the Western Washington Bill Roe Classic, posting a 68th place finish and a 6k time of 25:25.4.
 
2020–21
Did not compete in cross country or track & field due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Pre-Chico Days
Four-year letter winner in both cross country and track at Elk Grove High School…Helped lead the Thundering Herd to a Delta League cross country championship and conclude the season as a finalist at the Sac-Joaquin section championship…Raced to an impressive 19:18 5k at the Clovis Invitational during her freshman cross country season…As a sophomore, recorded an 18:46 5k PR at the Pacific Tiger Invitational…Notched a top 10 finish at the Lodi Flame Invitational as a senior…On the track, focused primarily on the 800m event where she finished third in her league championship in 2018…Posted a 2:19 PR in the same season…Earned All-DL honors…Part of the school’s record-setting distance medley relay team…Also lettered in soccer.
 
Personal
Born October 18, 2001, in Sacramento…Daughter of Mark and Katie…Has one older sister, Grace…Her dog Captain is her hero (“He is super fast”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is Wildcat teammate, Marissa D’Atri (“She was the first girl I connected with on the cross country team and she ended up winning for our team at nationals”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “Gary (Towne) really showed me his love for the sport, and it really resonated with me”…Her greatest sports moment was running her fastest mile in front of her dad and teachers at her high school…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is ride an ostrich in South Africa…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is jumping off the world’s largest bungee…Has learned by running to “not let nerves ruin your mindset”…Enjoys spending time with friends…Her biggest non-running talent: “I can do a headstand for three minutes”…Claims she can ride a unicycle for half a mile…At the top of her bucket list: “To live the American Dream and have babies and a cute house”…Best advice ever received came from one of her coaches: “Don’t think about anyone else”…Majoring in criminal justice…Plans to join the police academy after graduating.
