Pre-Chico Days
- Lettered in both cross country and track at Nevada Union High School in Nevada City
- Two-time state championship qualifier
- As a senior, helped lead the Miners to the 2019 Foothill Valley League cross country championship, the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III title, and a 10th place finish at the State meet
- Won the FVL cross country championship (three mile time of 19:43.1, more than 13 seconds faster than the second place finisher), earning league MVP honors
- Recorded a 14th place finish at the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships
- Placed 33rd at the State Championships with a 5k PR time of 19:13
- Named the league’s MVP award as a senior
- On the track, posted PRs in the 800m (2:31), 1,600m (5:34), and 3,200m (11:50)
- Team’s Rookie of the Year in 2016
- Served as team captain in 2020.
Personal

- Daughter of Jason and Dianne
- Has one younger brother, Joshua
- Her mom is her hero (“She finds the positive in everything and continues to succeed and push forward no matter how hard things get. She is the hardest worker I have ever met”)
- The person she most admires in the sports world is distance runner Molly Seidel (“she has achieved so much despite all the adversity she has faced, and the positive attitude she has toward running”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is Discrete Mathematics, taught by John Lind
- Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I loved the cross country team and environment, and well as the computer science department. The town also reminds me of home”
- Her greatest sports moment was winning the Foothill Valley League cross country championship
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done is earn her black belt in the Korean martial art of Kuk Sool Won
- The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished: “Teaching myself to swim, and then swimming 1.5 miles across a lake and back”
- Has learned by competing in distance running that “sport is not everything. It’s important to find yourself outside of your sport and your accomplishments there”
- Enjoys reading, cooking, doing anything outside, and spending time with friends
- Considers baking her biggest talent outside of running
- Plays the flute and piano
- Loves to rock climb (“I really want to get better at it”)
