2021–22
- Opened the cross country season with a 12th place finish (6k time of 22:24.3) September 10, 2021 at the San Francisco State Invitational
- Also placed 12th (21:41.7) September 25, 2021 at the Cougar Challenge
- Raced to a 13thplace finish (6k time of 22:38.1) October 9, 2021 at the Western Washington Bill Roe Classic
- Earned her first All-CCAA honor and posted a personal best 6k time of 21:10.4 while placing fifth overall October 23, 2021 at the CCAA Cross Country Championships
- Placed 25th November 6, 2021 at the NCAA West Regional meet, with her time of 22:11.3 not only earning All-West Region honors, but helping the Wildcats snare the program’s 21st straight NCAA Championship berth
- Placed 110th November 20, 2021 at the NCAA Championships in St. Leo, Florida
- On the track, opened the season March 19, 2022 at the Wildcat Invitational, finishing fifth in the 5k (18:26.3) and 16th in the 1,500m (5:07.8)
- Registered a 10k PR time of 36:24.2 10k PR to finish third March 21, 2022 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic
- The April 14, 2022 Bryan Clay Invitational yielded a 17:37 5k PR and an eighth place finish
- Notched a 10th place finish and another PR, this time in the 1,500m (4:58.1) April 23, 2022 at the Chico Invitational
- Led almost the entire way May 6, 2022 during the CCAA Track & Field Championship 10k final before taking second with a 36:45.0, good for All-CCAA honors
- Doubled back the next day in the 5k with a near-PR of 17:39.7 while scoring a sixth place finish
- USTFCCCA All-West Region selection in the 10k
- Earned two CCAA All-Academic honors
- Named to both the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country and Track & Field Teams.
2020–21
- Did not compete due to the COVID pandemic
- Earned two CCAA All-Academic honors
- Received Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.
2019–20
- Joined the Wildcat track & field team in 2020
- Ran unattached March 7 at the Kim Duyst Invitational, finishing 12th in the 5k with a time of 18:27.09.
Pre-Chico Days
- Ran cross country and track at City College of San Francisco
- Qualified for State cross country championships in 2018
- In track, holds the Rams’ school record in the 10k (39:26.23)
- Won the 2019 Coast Conference North 10k championship
- Placed eighth in the state meet’s 10k competition
- Four-year letter winner in softball at George Washington High School in San Francisco, joining the cross country team during her senior year
- Reached the state cross country meet in 2017 and was named the Eagles’ team MVP
- In softball, earned four All-Academic Athletic Association, four All-Metro, and four First Team All-City honors.
Personal

- Daughter of John Ryan
- Has one sibling, Jack
- Her dad is her hero (“He demonstrates that with hard work, dedication and a dream, you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to”)
- The person she most admires in the sports world is long-distance runner and Olympic medalist Deena Kastor (“She show the physical difficulties and boundaries you can push through when you have a positive mindset and don’t allow your head to get in the way”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is Tennis, taught by Eleonor Jonasson-Brady
- Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I instantly was drawn to the team culture. I knew I needed to be a part of it when I saw so many people working hard, pushing and supporting each other as one family. I had never seen so many people share the same love and passion for running as I did”
- Her greatest sports moment is competing at the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Saint Leo, Florida
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done: “When I was 12 years old, I ate 35 bags of hot Cheetos in less than 36 hours. It didn’t end well but it was accomplished”
- The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is having the opportunity to run at Chico State
- Has learned by competing in distance running “how to be tough, to never give up, believe in yourself, and to go after what you want”
- Enjoys running on concrete, hiking and exploring new places, and spending time outside with family and friends
- Her biggest non-sports talent: “Being determined”
- Wants to run in all six major marathons
- At the top of her bucket list: “To qualify for the Olympic trials in the marathon”
- Best advice ever received came from Steve Harvey via the Internet: “If you change your attitude, you’ll change your altitude”
- Currently working on her master’s degree in kinesiology
- Plans to pursue a career working in kinesiology and marketing.
