Earned All-CCAA and All-West Region XC honors as a true freshman in 2019…Began Chico State career with a 6k time of 21:38 September 28, 2019 at the Capital Cross Challenge…Placed 15th (22:23.6) at the Western Washington Classic…Posted a time of 22:07.8 en route to a third place finish October 26, 2019 at the CCAA Championships, helping the Wildcats capture the program’s 12th straight conference crown…Recorded season-best time of 21:11.5 November 9, 2019 at the NCAA West Regionals, finishing 17th overall…Wrapped up the XC campaign with a 64th place finish (21:19.4) November 23, 2019 at the NCAA Championships…Did not run during the 2020 track & field season…Earned 2019–20 CCAA All-Academic honors…Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team.
 
Pre-Chico Days
As a senior at Granada High School, placed second in the East Bay Athletic League Championships and third at the North Coast Section meet…Placed 32nd overall at the 2018 state cross country championships with a 5k time of 18:36, helping the Matadors to a second place finish…Four-time All-EBAL selection…Helped Granada High win three consecutive EBAL XC titles and three straight North Coast Section crowns…On the track, recorded an impressive 5:07/11:02 double for 1,600m and 3200m at the EBAL Championships…finish the season with a fourth place finish in the 1,600m at the NCS Meet of Champions, just missing a berth to the state championships…Earned All-League and All-Section honors as a senior.

Born October 15, 2001, in Pleasanton…Daughter of Bret and Amy…Has one older brother, Ben…Her mom is her hero (“She shows her strength in everything that she does”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Chemistry 107, taught by Tina Hanson-Lewis…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “The wonderful team environment and coach Gary Towne, of course. The campus is beautiful and I fit in well academically”…Her greatest sports moment was getting to race at nationals as a true freshman…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is going on a road trip and camping along the beach through Oregon…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is finishing in third place at the CCAA XC Championships…Has learned by running cross country that “you will have downs within your training, but your attitude and drive impacts how you are able to overcome them”…Enjoys spending reading, painting, and sketching when she has some free time…Is proud of her artistic ability…Confesses “I actually enjoy going to school and learning every day”…At the top of her bucket list: “Going skydiving”…Best advice ever received came from a high school coach: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”…Majoring in exercise physiology…Plans a career in physical therapy.
