Pre-Chico Days
A 2020 graduate of Edward C. Reed High School in Sparks, Nevada…Placed second in the pole vault at the 2019 Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association Northern 4A Regionals…Finished fourth at the 2019 NIAA 4A State championships…Third place finisher at the 2018 NIAA Northern 4A Regionals.

Born July 7, 2002, in Sparks, Nevada…Daughter of Russell and Colleen…Has one younger sibling, Aedan…The person she most admires in the sports world is current pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis (“His dedication to his sport is admiring. His hard work is something I strive to see in myself! He is an inspiration to all pole vaulters in the world!”)…Chose to attend Chico State “based on the atmosphere I felt when I came for my visit! The team, coaches and staff greeted me with so much happiness and excitement, I knew I was going to choose Chico State! The campus is beautiful and inviting. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity”)…Her greatest sports moment is “spending time with my club pole vault teammates at out-of-state meets, supporting each other and getting PR’s!…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is travel to Korea to watch her cousin compete with a sled hockey team at the Paralympics…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is “building up the confidence to finally quit gymnastics after I wasn’t enjoying it anymore. Even though it was the scariest thing I had ever done, starting over in a whole new sport without knowing if I would succeed or not. But here I am only three years later from starting pole vault, competing collegiately for Chico State!”…Has learned by competing in track & field that “if you don't believe in yourself, you won't succeed. You are not only your biggest critic but your biggest supporter. The relationship you have with your mind is the most important relationship you will come across”…Enjoys spending time with friends and family (“There is nothing better than spending time with the people that you love!”)…Says the ability to sympathize with others is one of her biggest talents…Admits she hates cheese…At the top of her bucket list: “Teaching children in a foreign country”…Best advice ever received came from her gymnastics coach: “Don’t cry because you had one bad routine, because crying gives you wrinkles, and one bad routine is worth a lifetime of wrinkles”…Majoring in child development…Plans a career as an occupational therapist.
