2019–20
Posted an eighth place finish in her Chico State cross country debut, recording a 6k time of 22:21.1 at the Capital Cross Challenge…Placed 63rd (24:01.6) October 12, 2019 at the Western Washington Classic…Did not run during the 2020 track & field season.  
 
Pre-Chico Days
Finished fourth in the JC State Championship cross country race during her sophomore season at Glendale Community College…Placed 11th at the State meet as a true freshman…On the track, won the 2017 Western State Conference championship in the 3k steeplechase and placed second at the State Championships…While redshirting following her sophomore season at Glendale, placed 17th at the Capital Cross Challenge and won San Bernardino State’s Coyote Invitational (the 2018 CCAA Championship Preview meet)…Lettered in both cross country and track & field at Birmingham Community Charter High School in Lake Balboa…Helped lead the Patriots to the 2015 West Valley League cross country championship, earning team MVP honors…Won LA City Section 3200m championship.
 
Personal
Born May 31, 1998, in Fontana…Daughter of Sonny and Annette…Has two siblings, Sonny and Maya…The person she most admires in the sports world is long distance runner Allie Ostrander (“She is an amazing runner who speaks about body image of women runners”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Observational Techniques, taught by Carol Marshall…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I loved the small town environment as well as the nature around the city”…Her greatest sports moment is running a 17:35 5k time trial during her first semester at Chico State…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is qualifying for the state track meet as a high school senior, “but it was the same day as my Grad Night, so I went to Disneyland instead”…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished: “I bought a car this year!”…Has learned by running cross country that “it is okay to get comfortable with being uncomfortable”…Enjoys playing with her cat Leia when she has some free time…Has taught her cat to sit on command…Used to play piano…At the top of her bucket list: “Walk the whole Pacific Crest Trail”…Majoring in child development…Plans a career as a kindergarten-3rd grade teacher.
