Biography

Pre-Chico Days
A 2020 graduate of Lincoln High School…Finished first in the 100m and 300m hurdles to help lead the Fighting Zebras to the 2019 Pioneer Valley League championship…Took top honors in the 300m hurdles at the 2019 Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Championships…Also competed in the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash, long jump, triple jump, the 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m relay, and cross country.
 
Personal
Born October 25, 2002, in Roseville…Daughter of Anthony and Leticia…Has four siblings: Sophia, Nicole, Marcus, and Celeste…The person she most admires in the sports world is sprinter Noah Lyles (“because I like his style and his potential is still growing”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Professional Writing for Public Audiences, taught by Bernie Richter…Chose to attend Chico State “because I really liked the campus and I decided it was best”…Her greatest sports moment is a toss-up: “Winning the 300m hurdles at my division championships or finally beating my high school rival in hurdles during my junior season”…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is try to skateboard…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is getting an A+ on a math exam she thought she had failed…Has learned by competing in track & field “to not give up, no matter how much I want to”…Enjoys sleeping and eating when she has some free time…Used to play the clarinet…Loves Disneyland…At the top of her bucket list: “Skydiving”…Best advice ever received came from a high school track teammate: “If you want to buy something or do something, just do it, because there might not be a tomorrow”…Majoring in kinesiology…Plans to pursue a career as a firefighter.
