2019–20
Began the cross country season with a 28th place finish (23:01.3) September 13, 2019 at the Stump Invitational…Posted a 6k time of 22:12.3 September 28, 2019 at the Capital Cross Challenge…Did not run during the abbreviated 2020 track & field season…Earned two CCAA All-Academic honors…Received 2019–20 Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.
 
2018–19
Opened the fall season with a 24th place finish at the Capital Cross Challenge…Notched a big 6k XC personal best time of 21:02 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, placing 24th in the Invitational race…Led the team with a third place finish at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational…Finished second overall at the CCAA Championships behind teammate Karlie Garcia, earning All-CCAA honors while helping the Wildcat women to its 11th straight conference title…Placed 14th at the West Regional to capture All-Region honors…Concluded the fall with a 128th place finish at the NCAA Championships…On the track, began and ended the season with injuries that limited training…Opened the spring with a 5k time of 18:13 at the Wildcat Invitational…Recorded her second best 5k to date at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, posting a time of 17:04…Doubled back the following day with a winning anchor leg in the with her PR time f 35:11 earning an NCAA provisional mark…Following some missed training managed a second place finish in the CCAA Championships 5k final, earning All-CCAA honors…Concluded the season with a tough run at the NCAA Championships, where she ran in the eighth position in the 10k final, but with a lap remaining, collapsed with heat sickness and didn’t finish…Earned three CCAA All-Academic honors…Received both USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country and Track & Field accolades.
 
2017–18
Began the fall season with a 76th place run at the Riverside Invitational…Finished 27th at the Capital Cross Challenge with a 6k PR time of 21:43…Was the Wildcats’ fifth runner at the Western Washington Invitational, placing 25th overall…Enjoyed a breakout race at the CCAA Championships, placing ninth overall while earning All-CCAA and conference Newcomer of the Year honors…Placed 52nd in the NCAA West Regional…Concluded the season with a 246th place run at the NCAA Championships…On the oval, raced to a 4:41/2:21/18:00 triple in the 1,500, 800 and 5k at the Wildcat Invitational…Lopped nearly a minute off her 5k PR with a 16:57 mark, winning her heat at the San Francisco Distance Carnival…Doubled back with a speedy 1,600 leg to help the ’Cats win the Distance Medley Relay at the San Francisco Distance meet…Despite injuries that derailed her midseason meets, bounced back with a fourth place finish in the CCAA 10k final…Concluded the season with a 17:31 5k at the Portland Last Chance meet…Earned CAA All-Academic honors…Named to both the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country and Track & Field Teams…Received Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.
 
2016-17
Redshirted both cross country and track & field in her first year at Chico State…Enjoyed a 71st place finish at the Capital Cross Challenge, recording a 22:06 mark for her 6k debut…Ran a swift 17:43 in the team’s postseason 5k track time trial while winning the annual event…On the track, opened the season with a time of 4:53 in her 1,500m debut at the Wildcat Invitational…Injury forced a gap in racing and training, resulting in a shortened season…Concluded the spring campaign with an 18:08 5k at the West Coast Last Chance.

Pre-Chico Days
One of the top distance women in the North Coast Section during her senior year at San Ramon’s Dougherty Valley High School…Earned All-League honors and twice qualified for the State cross country meet…Named the Wildcats’ Most Inspirational Runner…Placed fifth overall at the North Coast Section XC Championships posting an 18:00 mark on the Hayward course…Finished 34th at the State Championships with an 18:32 5k XC PR…Concluded her senior harrier season with a 41st place run at the Foot Locker Seeded race at Mt. SAC…On the track, cracked the 11-minute barrier twice in the 3k, with her 10:57 PR good for second place overall at the Diablo Foothill Athletic League finals.

Born April 10, 1998, in San Ramon…Daughter of James and Lori…Has one brother, Sebastian…Her hero is Katie Murphy (“She has constantly inspired me to be a better runner and person through leadership, and to persevere through tough times”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Plant Identification, taught by Kristina Schierenbeck…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “For the team, the culture of the school and coach Gary Towne”…Her greatest sports moment is running the 10k at the 2019 NCAA Track & Field Championships…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is traveling to New Zealand to study aboard…Has learned by running cross country to “be easy on yourself and let go of the issues at hand, and to be there for others who need you more”…Enjoys playing board games and spending time with friends when she has some free time…Loves plants…Claims “I’m decent at makeup and being right”…At the top of her bucket list: “Travel to Switzerland”…Best advice ever received came from Kevin Sawchuk: “You only have five minutes to feel bad, then you got to let it go”…Majoring in horticulture and land resource management…Plans to run for a club team and work for an environmental firm.
