His dedication to our family and compassion for his patients (he is a nephrologist) are some ways I hope to be more like him in the future”
- The person she most admires in the sports world is U.S. women’s national soccer team standout Julie Ertz (“not only because of her talent, but because of the way she carries herself on and off the field. She sets high standards for herself and others and has good sportsmanship”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is Human Anatomy, taught by Gary Lechner
- Chose to attend Chico State “because of the exceptional women’s soccer program. ("I chose Chico because of the women's soccer program. I'm very happy to be a part of such an excellent culture and have the opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level.")
- Her greatest sports moment is playing in her first collegiate soccer match (“While I didn't make much happen—I was mostly running in circles defending—I feel like I really stepped up my game after that”)
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done ravel to a rural village in Peru and harvest potatoes in the Andes Mountains (“I had no idea how fun that could be. It was like digging for gold”)
- The most impressive things she’s ever accomplished: “I won a $500 gift card to Southwest Airlines because I took the most COVID tests out of everyone at my high school. I also came first in a school project contest, and the prize was I got my name written on a monument in Washington, D.C., though I’ve never actually seen it”
- Has learned by playing soccer that “talent is not the only key to success. Passion and perseverance are what make successful athletes and successful people”
