Fifth year in the Wildcats’ program…CCAA All-Star selection in 2020…Started all 21 games for the Wildcats, leading the team in batting average (.415), hits (27), doubles (6), extra-base hits (9), and total bases (42)…Tied for fourth in the CCAA in batting and tied for seventh in hits…Had at least one hit in all but three games on the season…Racked up seven multi-hit games…Fashioned an eight-game hitting streak February 28–March 8, 2020, batting .565 during that stretch…Second Team All-CCAA selection in 2019…Tied for team lead in slugging percentage and ranked third in batting average, hits, and home runs…Posted team-high 10-game hitting streak February 23–March 16, 2019…Delivered multiple hits nine times, including a trio of three-hit games…Started 19 of 22 games for the Wildcats as a true freshman in 2018…First career Wildcat home run was a three-run blast February 4, 2018 vs. Concordia Portland…Three-time CCAA All-Academic award winner…Pre-Chico Days: A 2017 graduate of Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park…Career .433 hitter over four varsity seasons…Helped Cougars capture two North Bay League titles…Three-time First Team All-NBL selection…Earned San Francisco Chronicle Second Team All-Metro honors as a senior…Named Rancho Cotate High’s 2017 Athlete of the Year…Twice received First Team All-Redwood Empire honors from the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat…All-Metro Honorable Mention in 2015…U.S. Marine Corps Athletic Award winner…A four-year prep basketball standout, scoring over 1,100 career points…Also lettered in  volleyball…Four-year High School Scholar Athlete…Personal: Born May 22, 1999, in Petaluma…Daughter of Rich and Tami…Has four siblings: Tanu, Tanoa, Tai, and Tama…Her parents are her heroes (“Everything up to this point in my life could not have happened without their constant support and love. I’m extremely blessed to have two loving parents who are both so very selfless”)…Admires the work ethic found in the sports world (“Sports have instilled a work ethic in all a athletes that you can’t find anywhere else”)…Her favorite course at Chico State is Peoples, Places, and Environments, taught by Scott Brady (“Scott supports the athletes at Chico and makes it important to get to know his students”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “It felt like home when I came on my visit. I feel very blessed to have made the decision I made because I love everything about Chico, and I absolutely love playing softball here with the teammates I have”…Her greatest sports moment is “when I don't swing at a rise ball”…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is shave her cousin’s face with a rock…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished: “I flipped an entire home with my cousin and uncle”…Has learned by playing softball “you must fail in order to succeed”…Enjoys mountain biking when she has some free time…Loves to collect rocks and aspires to live in a tiny house…At the top of her bucket list: “Hike the Pacific Crest Trail”…Best advice ever received came from her dad: “Treat others the way you want to be treated” (“I know it is something many people say, but he really instilled that in me and I always try my best to live my life that way”)…Majoring in recreation–parks and natural resource management…Hopes to get an internship in Colorado and live/work on trails in the wilderness.
