Second year in the Wildcats’ program…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of Casa Roble High School in Orangevale…Played four varsity seasons, posting a .331 career batting average…Helped lead the Rams to a pair of league titles…First Team All-Golden Empire League selection as a junior…Named First Team All-Capital Valley League in 2018...All-League scholar athlete…Also lettered in basketball…Personal: Born January 29, 2002, in Roseville…Daughter of Brian and Amy…Has one younger brother, Brandon…Her hero is her great great grandpa Pancho (“because of the amount of love and support he provided to make sure his family was doing great; he inspires me to do the same for those around me”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is San Francisco Giants All-Star shortstop Brandon Crawford (“because of the way he plays the game: calm, cool, and collective. He loves the sport so much that you can see it in the way he plays”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “It was close to home, with a beautiful campus and a great atmosphere that I wanted to be in during my collegiate career”…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is, as a high school senior, learning how to make beer down to the chemical level (“which leads to the inspiration for what I want to pursue later on”)…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is earning First Team All-League honors as a sophomore and maintaining that status throughout her high school career…Has learned by playing softball that “It’s hard to get along with everyone, but the ones you stick it out with could potentially become great and long-lasting friends”…Enjoys going snowboarding in the winter and spending time with friends and family…Her biggest talent outside of softball is being able to compete in other sports…At the top of her bucket list: “To travel outside of the United States at least once”…Best advice ever received came from her dad: “It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon”…Majoring in biological sciences and molecular and cellular biology…Plans to pursue a career as a pharmaceutical chemist.
