Pre-Chico Highlights:
Played two seasons at Sierra College in Rocklin…Helped lead the Wolverines to the 2018 California Community College Athletic Association Northern California section title and third place in the State Championships…Won the NorCal regional individual title in 2019 and placed fifth in the CCCAA State Championship…Finished third on the individual leader board at the 2018 NorCal regional…A 2018 graduate of Folsom High School…Four-time All-Sierra Foothill League selection…Earned team MVP honors.
Personal:
Born March 26, 2000, in Folsom…Daughter of Kenneth and Stacey…Has one older sister, Lauren…Two close family friends, whom she calls Uncle Tim and Aunt Tracy (“they’re like family to me”) are her heroes (“They are the most generous, selfless, and supportive people I have ever met, and I can only hope to be as great as they are as I go through my life. They have always been there for me, and have been such a positive influence for me and countless others”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (“He works so hard in his sport, but still manages to have fun and enjoy every day”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Patterns and Structures in Mathematics, taught by Kat Strand…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the beautiful campus, college town life, and great reviews from friends and alumni! Not to mention the amazing program for future teachers”…Her greatest sports moment was placing fifth in the CCCAA State Championship at Sierra College (“I was the only girl from Northern California to place and shot some of the best scores in my life under pressure”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is “take my dad’s truck on a 600 mile road trip with my friends to camp and hike at Burney Falls and Castle Crags State Park, and travel through Northern California”…The most impressive things she’s ever accomplished is hiking to the peak of Mount Lassen…Has learned by playing golf “that attitude is everything on and off the course. It determines how far you will go and what you can accomplish”…Enjoys being outdoors, paddle boarding, hiking, camping, and going on walks with friends when she has some free time…Rates country line dancing as her biggest non-golf talent (“I am really quick at picking them up and love to teach others too!”)…Loves corn dogs and has a rating for every place she’s ever eaten one (“Riley’s in Chico ranks at the top!”)…At the top of her bucket list: “Visit every National Park in the U.S.”…Best advice ever received came from her mom: “This too shall pass”…Majoring in liberal studies…Plans to go into a credential program after graduation to become an elementary school teacher.
