Personal
- Born August 15, 2001, in Hayward
- Daughter of Will and Molly
- Has one older sibling, Maelaini
- Her parents are her heroes (“Every day I see how hard they work and the sacrifices that they have made for our family. It inspires me to keep pushing, working hard, and achieving my goals”)
- The people she most admires in the sports world are Phil Mickelson and Tony Finau (“They are both amazing golfers, from Phil’s precise chipping skills to Tony’s effortless power, who have overcome many challenges and made great accomplishments in the golf community”)
- Chose to attend Chico State “for its engineering program, women’s golf team, and supportive and kind community”
- Her greatest sports moment was during the 2021–22 California Community College Athletic Association State Championships: “The final hole was a par-5 where I hit a great drive down the middle of the fairway, but blocked my approach shot into the lake. I took a drop and pitched a 55-yard shot right next to the cup and one-putted for par. It was a great accomplishment displaying the growth I had that season in recovering from a shot and longer distance pitching”
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done is being the youngest Aikido student (three years old) ever excepted at her local Dojo…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished was being one of only two girls (at the time) on the fight team for Bahala Na Multistyle (an Escrima school)
- The most memorable round of golf she’s ever played was the first one: “My sister and I had never played before, but we went with our dad to try it out. We had so much fun being outside and trying a new sport. At the turn we even got really good hot dogs and homemade kettle chips. It was a memorable day that I’ll never forget”
- Has learned by playing golf that “there are some things in life that are an ongoing process of learning. Although I love the sport of golf and would love to perfect it, I know that it is an unattainable goal. Golf is a process that is never-ending”
- Enjoys reading when she has some free time
- Outside of golf, she says “I am talented in Escrima”
- Loves to be outside and experience new things
- At the top of her bucket list: “Going ziplining”
- Best advice ever received came from her parents: “Always fight and never give up on your goals”
- Majoring in mechanical engineering
- Plans on pursuing a career in mechanical engineering and “hopefully work in golf club design.”
