- Recorded a personal best of 10:40.49 in the 3000m at the Golden Gate Track Fest
- Ran a personal-best 18:00.61 in the 5000m at the Leopard Invitational, establishing a CSUMB freshman program record

- Recorded a personal-best 6K of 23:18.3 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational
- Finished 51st at the CCAA Cross Country Championships in 23:48.4

Pre-Chico Days
- Lettered in cross country and track & field at Mission Vista High School in Oceanside
- Served as cross country team captain for two years
- Earned all-league honors twice in cross country and was named Second-Team All-CIF San Diego Section
- Named the team's cross country MVP
- Three-time all-league selection in track & field
- Served as track & field team captain for three seasons
- Qualified for the CIF San Diego Section Championships multiple times
