Finished 107th at the Stanford Invitational as the sixth Wildcat across the line to open her cross-country season...Placed 6th at the Willamette Invitational, helping the ’Cats win the team title… Chico State’s seventh finisher at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, taking 94th overall…Placed 17th at the CCAA Championships…Injured during regional championship race in Montana and forced to abandon the run...Opened a spectacular track and field season with a winning 4:34 effort in the 1,500 meters at the Wildcat Invitational…Debuted in the 5k with a winning 17:34 mark at the Johnny Mathis Invitational...Raced to a third-place finish in the 1,500 at the San Francisco Distance Carnival, clocking a 4:29 seasonal best…Beat her own 800-meter school record with a 2:10 run at the Stanford Invitational…Took .5 seconds off her 800 personal record (PR) at the Chico Distance Carnival, but lost her school record to teammate and good friend Bailey Henshaw...Took third in her 1,500-meter heat at the Beach Invitational, lowering her PR to 4:23...Won the CCAA Championship 1,500-meter title in 4:29…Took second in the 800 meters in 2:11...Recorded a 2:09.2 PR in the 800 at the Sac State Invitational…Ran a leg of that day’s school record-breaking 4x400-meter relay team...Placed third in the NCAA Championship 1,500-meters final to earn her first All-America certificate...Earnerd USTFCCCA All-West Region honors in the 800 and 1,500...USTFCCCA Second Team All-America in the 800.
2013-14: Opened the fall with a 51st place run at the Sundodger Invitational where she cracked the 23-minute mark for the first time in the 6k… Recorded a 19:28 finish on the Willow Hills course in Folsom placing 12th overall in the USATF event…Finished 24th at the Triton Invitational…Finished 23rd overall at the Doc Adams Invitational with a 6k PR of 22:47…Ended her fall season with a 5k time trial PR of 18:09…On the track Watt would take some huge steps forward during her sophomore campaign…In her first race she matched up with Cal State Stanislaus’ Courtney Anderson (eventual NCAA 1,500-meter Champ) before barely losing despite a 4:39 PR…Finished 2nd in the 800-meter run behind training partner Bailey Henshaw…Set a 9:58 PR in the 3k at the Humboldt Invitational, finishing second behind teammate Ayla Granados…Won the Wildcat Invitational 800 meters with a 2:12.5 PR, notching her first NCAA provisional mark of the season…Posted another PR in the 1,500 meters and lowered her NCAA Provisional mark to 4:28 at the Johnny Mathis meet…Two weeks later at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival Watt recorded an 800-meter PR of 2:11…The following day Watt dipped under the 2:11 barrier for the first time, recording a new Chico State record of 2:10.91 and placing third in a stacked heat…At the Chico Twilight meet she paced the invite section of the 800 meters, helping teammate Ayla Granados win and record Chico State’s second fastest time eve…Granados and Watt placed 1-2, respectively, in the Invitational section of the 1,500 meters… Placed 2nd in her heat at Mt. SAC 800 meters, stopping the clock in 2:11.26… Nearly broke Chico State’s 1,500-meter record at The Beach Invitational, finishing in 4:28.03….Placed fourth at the CCAA Championships 1,500-meter final behind the nation’s three fastest 1,500-meter runners…Her 4:30 fourth place effort would have won the past 15 editions of this event at the CCAA finals…Placed 3rd in the 800-meter final with a time of 2:12 later that day…At the NCAA championships, earned a spot in the 1,500-meter final with her 4:30.3 run in the preliminaries…Finishing her season with a 12th place run in the final.
2012-13: Finished 83rd at the Santa Clara Bronco Invite with a new 5k XC PR of 19:45...Concluded fall season with a 57th place run at the Doc Adams Invite in 24:42 for the 6k course...Made huge breakthroughs on the track during the course of the season...Opened season with a 4:48/2:17 double at the Kim Duyst Invite, running PRs at both distances respectively...Ran to another 2:17 800m PR at the Aggie Invite while placing 4th overall...Dropped her 1500m PR to 4:43 at the Wildcat Invitational...Sliced 2 seconds off her 800m personal best running to a 2:15 at the SF Distance Carnival while placing 5th...Placed 4th at the Chico State Distance Carnival 800m with a new 2:14 PR...A lower 2:14 mark gives her the win at the Woody Wilson Invitational and places her among the Top-10 Chico State two-lappers in school history...Unfortunately the season ended on a tough note with Watt being the victim of a slow prelim heat at the CCAA Championships that saw her get boxed and missing the mark needed to advance to the final.
2011-12
As a track specialist, came into the fall looking to develop some strength and improve at the longer distances...Best race came at the Humboldt Invite where she placed 65th overall...Back in her comfort zone on the track in the spring, Watt thrived...Ran to personal bests in the 800 (2:20) and 1,500 (4:57).
High School
Ready to try her hand at cross country for the first time…Watt appears to have the potential to make a splash at the collegiate level…A first team All-League soccer player in high school…Posted some very fine PR’s at a variety of distances on the track that show promise for future success in XC and on the track…Watt has run 59.5 in the 400 meters on the track and recorded a quick 47-second 300m hurdle time during her senior track season.
