Pre-Chico Highlights:
Ran both cross country and track at Chico High School…Helped lead the Panthers to four Eastern Athletic League titles and the 2019 Northern Section championship…Notched a third place finish at the 2019 Northern Sectionial…All-Eastern Athletic League selection…Twice competed in the State cross country championships, placing 28th in 2019…On the track, won league and division 800m championships in 2018…Also lettered in basketball.
 
Personal
Born May 30, 2002, in Grand Junction, Colorado…Daughter of Daniel and Tara…Has one younger sibling, Taylee…The person she most admires in the sports world is Michael Jordan (“He inspires people because of how hard he works. He got to be a great basketball player because he understood how much work he had to put in, and that is how he was able to achieve his goals”)…Her favorite course at Chico State is 2D Design…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I knew that Chico State had an excellent running program. The team has achieved many goals in the past, and I wanted to become a part of it”…Her greatest sports moment was the last time she was able to compete in a cross country race in 2019 (“I was able to run my fastest 5k time and place top 30 at the State Championships”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is having to draw with her left hand while her eyes were closed for a drawing class…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is winning league and division 800m titles and placing second as sectionals after not running at all for three weeks (“The only thing I did within those weeks was running in the water”)…Has learned by running cross country that “I surprise myself a lot with what I’m able to achieve”…Enjoys painting, watching movies, and spending time with friends…Her biggest talent outside of running: “I am able to talk with my mouth closed”…Originally from Idaho, but has lived in Chico for the past seven years…At the top of her bucket list: “Travel to Africa as a Give Volunteer”…Best advice ever received came from her mom: “Your body is able to achieve more than what your mind may tell you”…Majoring in graphic design…Plans to pursue a career as a graphic designer.
