Biography
Fifth in the CCAA cross country championships one year ago, Lindsay is another important cog in the Wildcat machine. A very hard worker who has transformed herself into a standout college runner, Lindsay appears ready to compete for top honors in the championship meets. As a junior Nelson earned All-CCAA and All-West Region honors, and her 59th-place effort at the NCAA meet helped the team to a 9th place finish. On the track Nelson recorded PR’s for both the 5k and 10k distances, eventually qualifying for the NCAA meet in the 25 lap event. Lindsay finished the season with a 10th place finish at the NCAA championships. Having grown up in Chico and attended Pleasant Valley High School, Lindsay is one of only two Chico products on this year’s roster, the other being Chico High School alum Hannah Dillard.
