Chico State Athletics

2011-2012: Despite an injury that nearly derailed her entire fall, Balcom worked her way back for a late season effort in where she finished 77th at the Doc Adams Invitational in 26:29...On the track Balcom had one of her most consistent seasons in a Chico State jersey highlighted by her 2:22/4:56 800/1500 double at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.

2010-11: Placed 43rd at the Doc Adams Invitational…Finished 72nd at the Santa Clara Invitational…Placed 155th with a time of 20:05 at the Willamette Invitational…On the track, Balcom missed the spring season with injuries.

2009-2010: Redshirted both cross country and track as a freshman…Posted a 19:42 mark at the Willamette Invitational…Concluded fall season by recording a  20:18 5k Almond Bowl mark…Was injured during most of the track season and was unable to compete.

High School: Standout runner at Ramona HS…As a senior, posted competitive times from 800m to 3200m on the track…Highlight of her high school running career was a 5:07 in the 1600m at the San Diego CIF preliminaries.
