Pre-Chico Days
Running for Chico High School, established herself as one of the top distance talents in the Northern Section…Recorded a three-mile PR of 18:02 at the Bill Springhorn Invitational...Won the North Section individual cross country title before concluding her season with a 40th place finish at the State Championships…On the track, placed second in the 2018 and 2019 North Section 3,200m Championship.

Born December 26, 2000, in Chico…Daughter of Lance and Mary…Has one younger sibling, Carson…The person she most admires in the sports world is Tim Tebow (“He used his platform to profess his faith openly”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Principles of Environmental Scoence, taught by Dr. Kristen Kaczynski…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “The proximity to home and the awesome running program across the street from where I ran in high school”…Her greatest sports moment was finishing 2nd in the 3200m in 2018 against Hana Hall in the North Section Championship (“Hana is a great runner. She pushed me and I pushed back but it was a great race with the third place finisher a ways behind”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is spend all summer up in the mountains, chasing owls at night (“It was great”)…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is clearing a tree from a road with a handsaw and elbow grease…Has learned by running cross country that while “awareness is key in any area of life, it helps with races too”…Enjoys reading, drawing, painting, and “building stuff” when she has some free time…Used to play piano…Is proud of her creativity and ability to adapt to a given prompt or task…Is a Cowlitz Indian…At the top of her bucket list: “Skydiving from a ridiculously high altitude, climbing as many of the coolest mountains possible, or flying over landscapes and taking cool pictures as a job”…Best advice ever received: “'Always have a sweet spirit”…Majoring in environmental science.
