Biography

Second year in the Wildcats’ program…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of Rosemont High School in Sacramento…Batted a combined .394 and posted a .465 on-base percentage during her four-year varsity career…Helped lead the Wolverines to three postseason appearances…Three-time All-Sierra Valley Conference selection…Also lettered in volleyball…Personal: Born January 2, 2002, in Sacramento…Daughter of Joseph and Yvonne…Has one sibling, Mya…The person she most admires in the sports world is Jackie Robinson (“He did the unthinkable and he did it well. He showed people that everyone has things in life they must overcome, and sometimes it will get tough, but if you really love it you’ll do what it takes”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “Chico State has a little bit of history in my family. My dad played baseball here along with some of his best friends, now my uncles. Along with that, the softball team is amazing. The girls work 100 percent together”…Her greatest sports moment is, as a 10-year-old, knocking in the game-winning run with a double to send her dad’s rec league softball team to the Nationals in San Diego…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is go snowboarding for the first time…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is starting on her varsity high school team as a freshman “and on top of that making All-League every year”…Has learned by playing softball that “you can’t always do things on your own. Sometimes you have to have people there to help you through certain situations”…Enjoys spending time with family and friends on the rare occasions when she’s not playing softball…Plays “a little” ukulele…As a young teenager, had three pet rats “and they are downright my favorite pets I’ve ever had”…At the top of her bucket list: “To travel to the most gorgeous tropical place imaginable”…Best advice ever received came from her mom via her grandfather: “There is always going to be someone bigger and better than you”…Majoring in criminal justice.
