Biography

One of eight true freshmen on the Wildcats’ roster…Pre-Chico Days: A 2021 graduate of Oakmont High School in Roseville…Four-year varsity letterwinner…Helped lead the Vikings to two Foothill Valley League titles…Twice named First Team All-FVL…Sac-Joaquin All-Section and Sacramento Bee All-Metro selection as a senior…Earned team’s 2021 MVP and 2019 Defensive Player of the Year awards…Two-time Scholar Athlete Award winner…Personal: Born August 3, 2003, in Roseville…Daughter of Neil and Andrea…Has one younger brother, Ethan…Her parents are her heroes (“They have always taught me to exhibit confidence and hold myself to high standards. They raised me to be independent and dependable, and showed me what it means to be grateful for those who surround me. I always looked up to how my parents cared for others and put others before themselves”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is Olympic medalist and Hall of Fame softball player Dot Richardson (“I believe she is one of the most influential woman in softball because she advocates for young women to follow their dreams, both on the field and off”)…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the homey environment and the beautiful campus. I loved all of the brick buildings, the diversity of trees around the school, and how welcoming the girls on the softball team were”…Her greatest sports moment was hitting her first grand slam to put her travel team ahead at the Colorado Sparkler (“I was so excited that I never even slowed down around the bases”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is shadow a doctor during a knee replacement surgery…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is “earning the top 10 honors in my high school’s health careers academy”…Has learned by playing softball that “determination is what builds a talented athlete. You don’t have to be the biggest or the strongest in order to be successful. Hard work is what will turn you into the best version of yourself”…Enjoys going to the lake with her friends during the summer, and in the fall visiting her favorite place, Apple Hill…Her biggest talents outside of softball are “my determination and work ethic is school and towards my career goals”…Owns a seal of biliteracy in Spanish…At the top of her bucket list: “Explore Europe with my best friends”…Best advice ever received: “Pressure is a privilege. It means things are expected of you”…Majoring in cellular and molecular biology…Plans to go on to medical school, earning her doctorate, and becoming a trauma surgeon.
