Biography

As a Junior (2023)
- Appeared in 4 games, 3 as a pinch hitter and 1 as a pinch runner

Pre-Chico Days
- Spent three seasons at the College of San Mateo and helped lead the team to the 2022 California Community College Athletic Association State Championship, tossing a complete game in the finals against Sierra College
- Earned All-Coast Conference North, All-State, and First Team JC All-America honors in 2022
- Posted a career 29-5 record and 1.16 earned run average while also batting .341
- A 2019 graduate of Hillsdale High School in San Mateo
- Won 35 games during her four years at the varsity level
- Led the Fighting Knights to the 2016 Peninsula-Bay League title and four straight postseason appearances
- First Team All-PBL selection

- Daughter of Kuso and Maria Kaufusi
- Has four siblings: Alexis, Emma, Sophia, and Khloe
- Her parents are her heroes (“They’ve sacrificed a lot so that my sisters and I could have a lot more than they had and for that I will always appreciate them. They’ve also taught us a lot, and have instilled good morals which I think goes a long way in life”)
- The person she most admires in the sports world is her coach at College of San Mateo, Nicole Quigley-Borg (“She was an incredible coach and has a lot of knowledge about the game, but she also went above and beyond for us as people and knew that it was bigger than just softball”)
- Chose to attend Chico State “because the program was somewhere I felt that would push me as a player. They take softball very serious here, and are extremely hardworking. I also really enjoyed the campus on my visit and thought it was beautiful, and it's not too far from home”
- Her biggest sports moment and most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is winning the 2022 State Championship at College of San Mateo
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done is swim with turtles and fish in Hawaii
- Has learned the power of teamwork by playing softball (“I think that teamwork is crucial in various aspects of life, and from softball I have learned just how essential it is for people to be able to work cohesively in order to meet your goals”)
- Enjoys reading when she has some free time (“It’s almost like watching a movie, but somehow you feel more involved in the plot and what's going on”)
- Her biggest non-softball talent: “How fast I can type”
- Is one of five siblings “and we’re all girls”
