One of eight true freshmen on the Wildcats’ roster…Pre-Chico Days: A 2021 graduate of Granite Bay High School…Batted .396 and hit 12 home runs over four varsity seasons…Helped lead the Grizzlies to the 2018 Sierra Foothill League title and a third place finish in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs…Hit a league-leading .512 with nine homers and 26 RBI as a senior to earn First Team All-SFL, Sacramento Bee All-Metro Team, and Sac-Joaquin All-Section honors…2021 Optimist All-Star selection…Named Second Team All-SFL during her freshman and sophomore seasons…Also lettered in basketball…Personal: Born May 15, 2003, in San Jose…Daughter of Brian and Amie…Has two younger siblings, Avery (who played with her at Granite Bay High School) and Benny…Her parents are her heroes (“My dad always gives the best advice and is a great coach. I always admire his ability to connect with everyone and push people to be the best version of themselves. My mom has always been able to love and support us through all of our craziness and makes it look easy. They both are my biggest supporters”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is former Olympic softball pitcher Michele Granger (“I admire her because her competitive drive is off the charts and she always pushes others to be their best on and off the field”)…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the beautiful campus and the team atmosphere”…Her greatest sports moment is turning a game-winning double play with her sister during her senior year against a rival high school…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is travel to Vietnam and Hong Kong with her grandparents…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is leading the Sierra Foothill in batting (.512 average) in 2021…Has learned through playing softball that “hard work pays off”…Enjoys camping, eating good food, hammocking, working out, going to coffee shops, and spending time with friends and family…Considers braiding hair her biggest non-softball talent…Is obsessed with the TV series Schitts Creek…At the top of her bucket list: “Renovate a school bus and travel the country in it”…Best advice ever received came from her dad: “You don'’ have to be perfect, but it doesn’t mean you can’t give perfect a chance”…Majoring in exercise physiology…Plans to pursue a career as a nurse.
