Biography

One of eight true Wildcat freshmen in 2022…Pre-Chico Days: A 2021 graduate of Whitney High School in Rocklin…Four-year varsity letterwinner…Helped lead the Wildcats to the 2019 Sierra Foothill League title and the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I championship…First Team All-SFL selection and team MVP as a senior…Named the Wildcats’ Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore…Personal: Born October 7, 2003, in Rocklin…Daughter of Rollie Stover…Has one older sister, Claire…Her dad is her hero (“He’s been a single dad to my sister and I since 2013. He’s is the person who inspires me day in and day out”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino (“because he never game up on a game”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I loved the atmosphere, and I knew I was going to fit in here!”…Her greatest sports moment was during her sophomore year of high school, when her team won the section championship…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is cliff jumping in Cabo San Lucas…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is earning Defensive Player of the Year honors during her sophomore year of high school, and being named team MVP as a senior…Has learned through playing softball to “fight and work hard for things that you want”…Enjoys spending time with family and friends…Says her biggest talent outside of softball is creative designs…Admits “I am a clean freak when it comes to fridges and dishes”…At the top of her bucket list: “Go skydiving”…Best advice ever received: “Everything is going to be fine” (“My dad always told me that you live in the present to move onto the future, and what you’re stressing or struggling about right now will not be something that you will have to worry about forever”)…Majoring in business marketing…Plans to pursue a career in marketing.
