Third year in the Wildcats’ program…Batted .333 for the Wildcats as a true freshman in 2020…Led the team with 20 runs batted in…Named CCAA Player of the Week February 3–9, 2020…Racked up team-high six multi-RBI games…Put together an eight-game hitting streak February 2–22, 2020, batting .517 and knocking in 15 runs during that stretch…Posted impressive .982 fielding percentage, making just one error in 18 starts at third base…2019–20 CCAA All-Academic award winner…Pre-Chico Days: A 2019 graduate of Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove…Played four varsity seasons…A career .388 hitter for the Wolfpack with 39 extra-base hits…Set a school record with 10 RBI in one game…Three-time All-Delta League selection…Sacramento Bee Second Team All-Metro selection in 2018 and 2019…Earned four consecutive All-Academic awards…Personal: Born January 10, 2001, in Elk Grove…Daughter of Mike Rodriguez and Tracey Anderson…Has two siblings, Rey and Delia…Her mom is her hero (“The person she most admires in the sports world is her mom (“She has worked so hard and taught me how to be compassionate, competitive and how to push myself”)…Her mom is also the person she most admires in the sports world (“She played tennis, softball, and basketball all throughout high school. In tennis she went all four years undefeated, and in basketball her team went 21-0 and won a state championship. She went on to play Division I basketball at Loyola Marymount. I admire her for not only her competitiveness, but her ability to push through adversity and succeed”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Analytic Geometry and Calculus, taught by John Lind…Chose to attend Chico State “because my whole family had attended this college. My grandfather is a distinguished alumni ,and I wanted to carry on the tradition”…Her greatest sports moment is piling up 10 RBI in a high school game…The most interesting thing she’s ever done: “I was in the “Every 15 Minutes” program and acted out a scene where I was life-flighted in a helicopter to a hospital”…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is changing her major to math…Has learned by playing softball that “teamwork makes the dream work”…Enjoys to paint her hydro flask and spend time with her cats when she has some free time…Considers painting her biggest non-softball talent…At the top of her bucket list: “Hiking Half Dome”…Best advice ever received: “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right”…Majoring in math education…Plans to get her teaching credential and become a math teacher.
